Numobag® Case Study – Diabetic Foot Ulcer 2

Podiatrist-Managed Case

The patient is an elderly diabetic 87-year old woman living with her daughter and son-in-law in a rural community 40 miles from medical care. The patient presented with a Stage III diabetic ulcer on the second digit of her left foot. The wound was small and deep and the patient had a high probability of lower limb amputation. Numotech clinical staff trained the patient’s daughter via telephone in using the Numobag®. The patient was treated at home by her daughter from December 2013 through May 2014..

The patient’s podiatrist debrided the wound, prescribed the Numobag®, and managed the case.
