Numobag® Case Study – Diabetic Leg Ulcer – Assisted Living

The patient resided in an assisted living home. The patient was diagnosed with diabetes a year earlier with a history of ongoing skin ulcerations. He was being treated at a wound care clinic for a heel wound and shortly after treatment began he was hospitalized with a cerebrovascular accident.

The patient returned to the assisted living facility and an aide noted a pressure ulcer on the lateral aspect of the right tibia. The family requested Numobag® treatment due to the lack of a consistent wound care approach and to the hassle and difficulty of transporting the patient to the wound care clinic for treatment. The head nurse oversaw treatment and the assisted living caregivers administered the Numobag® treatments.
